What I liked
Jackie’s comedic timing, musical chops, and story telling really shine through here! I really felt seen in a way that mainstream media doesn’t ever dive into.
What I didn't like
Sometimes I think the intimate venue doesn’t capture the grandeur of these fantastically written songs. I wished she was mic’d like a pop star so she could crank the volume on her voice and the backing track.
My overall impression
A funny, heartfelt, poignant dive in what it’s like to grow up as a queer kinkster while reconciling intergenerational Asian American trauma.
