What I liked
I liked Megan’s physicality and adherence to the moment onstage. The show really feels alive as Megan listens and reacts to the audience in real time.
What I didn't like
I wanted to get pushed even harder by the audience participation and each of the character’s veracity. That kind of thing changes night to night, but I enjoyed the danger and I wanted more of it.
My overall impression
In Upline, we meet the characters from every level of the multi-level marketing makeup line, Varmon, starting from the bottom and climbing “the ladder” to the top. It’s a wild ride of fun, fun and more fun. The comedy keeps coming from Megan Stern and the audience, who plays the role of recently indoctrinated Varmonistas. Megan Stern is a talented character comedian who knows how to keep the laughs coming.
