What I liked

The nostalgia of music, the little girl, the belly laughs especially from August’s wife Jennette, the costumes, the lighting, there’s so much to like!

What I didn't like

There should be more shows!

My overall impression

This show was out of this world, in the infamous words of Malcolm. I love that each character had a monologue and had their chance to shine. This sci-fi fantasy setting didn’t distract from the relatability and chemistry of the cast. There was a good mix of drama and comedy. The nonbinary AI voice joke killed. And of course you would listen to Motown music in space. There’s no other way that would have worked out. Anyone at any stage in their life can relate and would enjoy Blacks in Space. I’m so glad I spent my Juneteenth in this space shuttle with the actors and the audience!
