Came off very genuine despite being theater and the sprinklings of humor really worked.
What I didn't like
Wherever you can, especially in the middle, I would play with form. When Christina did the red flag dialog with herself it was like a breath of fresh air in what was ultimately a very good monologue but had a tendency to hit the same tone. Wherever you can find moments to modulate in tone/form, will help the moments where you are direct to the audience stand out and hit more. More of the storytelling part of the getting-together could be told in a different and perhaps more playful style to break things up.
My overall impression
Masteful storytelling, listening to Christina feels like having a deep talk with your friends late at night. An authentic exploration of love, identity, and ultimately heartbreak, Christina still manages to inject bits of humor throughout. A show with a lot of heart, that had me remembering things I’ve said myself in therapy. Would recommend.
