One women show
Masteful storytelling, listening to Christina feels like having a deep talk with your friends late at night. An authentic exploration of love, identity, and ultimately heartbreak, Christina still manages to inject bits of humor throughout. A show with a lot of heart, that had me remembering things I've said myself in therapy. Would recommend....

To see this beautiful brown-skinned girl walk onstage and break cultural expectations is a gift of the times. Christina has this magical way with words, an ability to reach right out into the audience and relate to us in a familiar and friendly way. We know her. I Hope You Heal is a funny, personal, intimate, and painful exploration of betrayal that is both thrilling and devastating. Through a series of chapters, we are taken on a beautiful ride as we witness Christina discover her worth and find self-love by realizing that who she is and where she comes from makes her unique. To see her inhabit her own authentic story within those truths is a lesson to us all. Ultimately, this show invites the audience to heal parts of ourselves that are in...

I was moved to tears watching I hope you heal. Christina’s ability to transport herself back to a difficult moment in her life so effortlessly and express her vulnerability so authentically, while still landing a joke between tears was masterful. The story was beautifully written and crafted and I was glued into each chapter. ...

What a hilarious and relatable show! Christina is incredibly talented storyteller, she takes us on this deeply personal journey of of self discovery and love for herself, her family, and her art. Her heartbreak story is so relatable - one of my favorite moments of the show was Christina having an argument with herself about dating a boy. It felt so familiar, but still unique, surprising and entertaining. Beautiful must see show!...

For lack of a better word it was PHENOMENAL! I was laughing, crying, & healing. Christina truly has a gift as a story teller and needs to be in a writers room. She so eloquently narrated in a way I could vividly see every scenario in my mind. She so beautifully (and hilariously) bared her soul, sharing deeply personal feelings filled with cultural expectations, whilst still communicating a universal feeling of simply wanting to be good enough. Her story is specific to her, but relatable to anyone that feels “othered.” This show and Christina have something special. You simply must join her on her journey towards acceptance. Be prepared to laugh, but don’t forget the tissues. ...

Authentic, surprising, and warm! I HOPE YOU HEAL was a lovely experience as a theater-goer. It felt more like listening to a good friend tell a story than seeing a play. A special show!...
