Without giving too much away to those who haven’t yet seen it, I loved the video segments in the dark with the voiceover in Russian as well as audience interaction.
What I didn't like
There was a part at the very beginning that maybe could have been shorter, less drawn out, but perhaps it was an intentional choice on the part of the artist.
My overall impression
I don’t think I’ve ever attended a “one man show” in a small theater space like this before, but it was a great first experience. The artist did an amazing job leading me through the story and range of emotions, from the absurdly hilarious to the poignantly moving, with minimal props yet managed to convey something so powerful. There are elements that had me really thinking after I left the show. I may have to watch it again to see whether my impressions changed at all.
