What I liked
Liza’s energy was magical and the quality of the overall production from the professional band, to the song writing, to the lighting and her costume were all top notch. I also enjoyed when the pianist Angelica Renee got into the music and danced in a way that elevated Liza’s performance and the energy in the room. It was a great room and Liza’s use of the whole space was a really engaging choice.
What I didn't like
The venue communication with patrons could be better, maybe even just a note on the tables? I only realized right before the show started that I needed to get a drink from the bar beforehand & that if I wanted food I needed to go outside to a taco truck. I was scrambling once I knew I had to move my butt. But this is nothing against the show, just a heads up to patrons of Three Clubs shows.
My overall impression
This dazzling and brave personal musical takes Liza Dealey-Thomason on a tour through the pain of multiple losses of loved ones in her life.
