What I liked
I loved the presentations of puppetry. It’s personal but not indulgent, funny but subtle, insightful but not overly analytical. The love the narrator has for her grandmother is just bursting through at the seams. A truly beautiful love letter communicated artfully and soulfully. The story is told with humility and grace.
What I didn't like
I honestly loved the whole thing. As close to perfect as a show could be.
My overall impression
The show is a poetic presentation of a colorful character. I’ve never seen a show less interested in being a show. It didn’t feel like a performance. It felt more like a good conversation with a friend you haven’t seen in a long time. Familiar yet foreign.
