The absurdity of the concept lends itself to the slice of life examination of a power hungry therapist (wildly fun character choice).
What I didn't like
The main audience volunteer for the show kind of took control of a lot of bits in a way I felt derailed the show. I wish Emma had directed her more, or went with a different audience member(s) for the rest of it. I could feel Emma panicking when the bits with the audience participants weren’t landing and I really felt for her. The ending also felt rushed. I feel like there were more games Emma wanted to play that she had to ditch because she was running over time.
My overall impression
Emma is so charismatic and this show is fun! When she’s in a play flow, she’s doing so much fun rapid-fire improv that is funny and charming.
