What I liked

The chemistry between all the characters was perfect and believable. The entire ensemble was so fun to watch, many distinct characters that all worked together to create a great group of PNMs and members. Tira Mansbacher had a voice that came through in EVERY single group song. Her soprano stood out no matter what was going on on stage, and I loved both of the characters she played. Eva’s comedic timing? INCREDIBLE. Beautiful voice too. Evan, wow. Their stage presence, honesty, and insane vocal range were only a few of the things I could touch on with this incredible artist. They absolutely nailed their performance, and my non-binary friend who saw the show with me yesterday kept leaning over to tell me how seen they felt while Evan was performing.

What I didn't like

Some of the dialogue and jokes were a bit cliche, but that is to be expected with a slightly more green writer. When I read that this was the first show Spencer had written I was floored, it feels like a much more experienced writer. With the uniqueness of the story, the slight cliches don’t bother you at all, and don’t take away from the true amazing experience that is this show.

My overall impression

I LOVE Sorority Rush. Talk about an incredibly unique story that kept the audience on the edge of their seats and laughing the entire time. Hard to sleep after a show like this where the songs are still stuck in your head hours later. Hats off to the entire team.
