What I liked

Stand out song for me was between Evan and Lauren. All around there were some fantastic voices singing. I thought that Jilian Brown did a solid job throughout.

What I didn't like

The non-singing moments (and even many of the singing moments to be honest) were stagnant. Basically talking heads just standing and talking to each other. It was also a bit distracting having the musician upstage at times. Although there were one or two moments that were funny it felt, at times, like the actors were mugging. Maybe that was the tone of the show but the laughs were taken from us because there was less connection to the characters. I was too aware I was watching actors acting a moment that was supposed to be funny. Give the audience the space to just take the ride without spelling it out for us. The scene where they are looking at candidates. Just have them look at the computer. No need to look at the projection.

My overall impression

I loved the idea of the play. Seemed like the creators have a strong passion. Performers voices really were strong.
