What I liked

Amazing Acting: Rahvaunia Johnson switches between characters so smoothly it’s like magic. Each one talks, moves, and feels totally different, keeps you hooked the whole time!
Great Story: The show moves fast and mixes heavy stuff like love and health with lighter moments. It never gets boring.
Fun and Smart: It teaches you about HIV without feeling like a class. The funny parts and happy bits make it a blast to watch.
Big Message: HIV isn’t talked about enough anymore, and this show brings it back with strong facts and real heart.

What I didn't like

More Character Details: The stories are good, but some—like Val’s—could use a little more to explain what’s going on with her HIV. It’s a bit fuzzy.
Talk to Us More: The topic’s so big, it’d be cool if the show let the audience join in, maybe with questions after or a quick chat.
Clearer Endings: Mary’s worry about telling people she has HIV needs a stronger finish. I wanted to know what happens next!

My overall impression

This Is Very IMPORTANT is a super touching and smart one-woman show that mixes fun with serious stuff perfectly. Rahvaunia’s acting is awesome—she brings four totally real characters to life with so much feeling. It smashes HIV stigma while telling stories that hit you hard, no matter who you are. It’s more than a play—it’s a wake-up call and a wild ride that sticks with you. Just like figuring out sneaky tricks in a tough game can make it way easier (check some out here), this show proves knowing more about HIV can break walls and boost awareness. Don’t miss it at the 2024 Hollywood Fringe Festival!
