What I liked

Tareks performance in particular was very animated and whole-body. It helped divide the line between theater and traditional standup.

What I didn't like

During the matinee – the back of the theater didn’t block out the daylight which I think distracted from the theater experience.

My overall impression

Give this show the MacArthur Genius Grant! Tarek was captivating in his animated exploration of prestige and what it means to be successful in today’s society. Oscillating between absurdist bits and heartfelt interpretations of his own past, Tarek strikes balance that keeps this one man show dynamic and engaging. A+ gold star
