About the Project
PURGATORY is a dance and movement piece about the evils of giving up control. It highlights manipulation by way of relationships. PURGATORY uses religious themes and the idea of possession as a metaphor for losing ownership of ones own body in an abusive environment. It highlights the emotions that come when you discover your body is not yours to give it can be taken.
