The cleverly detailed physical clues – obvious care had been taken in the creation of maps and posters and programs, etc. The story logic completely played through, at no point did I ever feel like something had been crowbarred in to make something else work.
What I didn't like
Probably a little clearer check in process, there are also shows going on in the theater that shares a lobby and hallway. The Hobgoblin staff are absolutely on it, but it might be a little confusing coming in the front door.
I might also add a “baseball stadium” soundscape, but that’s just because I like EVERYTHING to have a themed soundscape, lol
My overall impression
I had a great time! Ticket was a gift, total escape room newbie, didn’t quite know what to expect. I was paired with another player, and we were the only two people playing (I thinks it’s designed for 2 to 5 players). She was an escape room veteran, absolutely knew how to spot the clues. I’m not a sports guy, but I am a puzzle guy, so once I realized all the clues I’d need were in the room, and I didn’t really need much “outside” knowledge, I really got into the swing of it! You have to work together – this clue over here might need information from that thing over there, it might be a good idea to have someone keeping track of what you know on that whiteboard over there… I’m just saying. We didn’t beat the clock, er, hit a home run, but we had a lot of fun, and I came away completely impressed with the amount of detail, and the obvious love the creators have for the game of baseball!
