What I liked
Writing, music, acting, and dancing were all fantastic. Every revelation disclosed about the characters was so specific and yet somehow so relatable. The opening number in particular hooked me and got me hype to see the rest of the act!
What I didn't like
I want to know more. Each of the three main characters are so compelling; I feel like we only saw the tip of each of those icebergs. I would love to get two or three more songs from each of them, especially the mom.
My overall impression
This is a gorgeous show. I arrived expecting to laugh (and I did laugh, continuously)—but I wasn’t expecting to cry! Got seriously emotional thinking about my grandmother and, separately, about my relationships with each of my siblings. My sunscreen ran everywhere. I NEED to see the extended version of this.
