The show is sharp and quick-witted. A deep dive into the struggle of becoming one’s self. As an independent journey.
What I didn't like
Don’t think she needed the bar cart of stuff. The stool defined the space. She filled in the entire universe. Would have had her do the whole thing with a microphone.
My overall impression
Fielding, or should I say Elizabeth, is a standout standup & deft Mothsayer, locked in and exposing a very personal and hilarious bio yarn, wrapped in a foul & raw description. It’s quite a ride, as thrilling and scary as the death defying backward raft ride she takes with child and the feet of 3 burly men for her daughter’s amusement. Lightening fast, sharp, hormonal, it’s a self-healing 12 step lap dance at the Gates of DivorceHell. Or is it Heaven? And I loved it! Brava! It’s a show that delivers the Fringe at its best and most poignant.
