The dance aspects, the fusion elements, and the careful balance and guidance through the lanes of respect vs, appropriations of other cultures. No small feat.

My overall impression
Mayuri’s storytelling was absolutely captivating. The story was both personal and universal. Her incredible gift of dance added soul and spirit to the beautiful words of her writing. Her representation of goddess Kali unlocked emotions in me in such a profound way. I walked away entertained, inspired, and even freed. Mayuri is a force to behold. Looking forward to seeing her future work as well!
