THE ANTI "YOGI"

What I liked

Writer, producer and performer Mayuri has presented a phenomenal and spectacular show that was exciting, emotional, passionate, breath taking, funny, educational, thought provoking and soul uplifting.

The power packed and commendable performance had everything one can ask for in “The Anti Yogi” – the content, story, poetry, creativity, narrative, energy, intensity, brilliant acting, amazing expressions, graceful dancing, superb choreography and a clear and powerful message.

From start to finish, the audience was on a mesmerizing journey of True Yoga/Ahimsa through her beautiful story telling and an extra ordinary acting that was entertaining, hilarious and spiritual.

Stunning visuals, coordinating lighting, appropriate props and brilliant use of stage by Mayuri were just perfect. Icing on the cake was the extra ordinary sound effects and accentuations to Mayuri’s movements created by talented live percussionist, Neel. The magic these 2 artists created on stage was an absolute delight to experience.

I am still amazed by Mayuri’s extremely difficult yet perfect yoga poses and flawless 60-minute performance. Her lovely voice over of various characters/deities was seamless, convincing and very well crafted and executed.

Every one left the theater in a state of admiration towards Mayuri.

What I didn't like

Such a great talent should not be confined to small venues and a limited number of shows. Community and government should support ART & CULTURE.

Undoubtedly, THE BEST Fringe Show EVER!!!
Just AMAZING! Incredibly WELL DONE!!
ONE of A KIND of THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE!
Hats off to MAYURI – An activist, a visionary, a gifted and a complete entertainer.
