What I liked
How tight the show was, how fun it was, how much I learned from it, and Mayuri’s pure physicality is incredible.
What I didn't like
I would have liked to know more about Mayuri’s upbringing. She rushed through it quickly, and I feel that some context would really help me understand her point of view a bit better.
But I mean, c’mon…I was entertained from the beginning to the end. I had an absolute blast.
My overall impression
A fascinating, layered, funny show that really changed my point of view on the western appropriation of yoga and the “fast fashion” that accompanies it.
And Mayuri Bhandari is a STAR!!!! Truly I don’t know if I’ve ever seen someone as graceful and fluid on the stage. She holds your attention from beginning to end.
