One of the best shows I have seen at Fringe. Mayuri uses powerful storytelling in the forms of monologues, impeccable dances, and music to make the audience question the commercialization and appropriation of yoga in the West. As a South Asian audience member, many parts moved me to tears as I felt so seen in the unique perspective of being a consumer of a form of spirituality and movement that was taken from our people/that we were mocked for and is now being sold back to us. A powerful piece from Start to finish that I hope can inspire people to reflect on their own role in this system of cooptation and try to find deeper and authentic interpretations of yoga.... full review

I believe that everyone should go watch this show. Mayuri Bhandari has done a brilliant job with executing and delivering her first-ever one-woman show. She combines her incredible talent in dance, poetry, and performance skill to bring an extremely effective message across in an entertaining, funny, and informative way. I myself have felt that I've learned more about the world and have taken something beautiful back with me. You can tell the amount of effort that she's put into the show- yet at the same time, her performance seems effortless and easy to follow. This is the best show I've seen at the Zephyr Theatre, and the best show that I've seen in general. Special shoutout to Neel Agrawal, the brilliant musician who was in tune with e... full review

Mayuri is not only an incredible dancer (which, in itself, is something to behold) but also a strong voice for social activism, a compelling stage presence, and a woman who exudes passion for her culture and art. I could not look away, nor did I want to, during her performance. The dynamic between Mayuri and Neel (percussion) added another exciting layer of musical beauty to this exquisite show. I will not forget this show for a long time!... full review

Mayuri is a force to be reckoned with. She commands the stage with such dignity and power - I was brought to tears by her confident Kali. The music, so magnificently offered by Neel Agrawal, enhanced this piece ten fold. Their collaborative exchange was mesmerizing to watch throughout the show.
