The performances were great. The dialogue was fast paced and entertaining but shit got real when it needed to. And as said above, this concept was something that drew me in right from the start as a Shakespeare lover, but the story succeeded on its own as well, and I believe it would have appeal beyond that crowd.
What I didn't like
Only thing was it took me a few beats to understand days had passed after the first scene transition.
My overall impression
This show utilized characters I was familiar with (or so I thought) to touch on the true to life anxieties of navigating friendships as an adult person in this world. Though more dramatic or romantic relationships may get more attention, especially from Shakespeare, friendships are where most people will face the most varied and impactful experiences in their adult lives and I loved how this play used Shakespeare stories and characters to explore this!
