As others have pointed out, this is a fantastic show for Shakespeare fans. References and jokes throughout, and still feels approachable even if you don’t know every reference. I love how invested you become as an audience member in a relationship between two characters from different plays that have theoretically never met outside of the context of this play. Even having been familiar with the characters in their respective plays, you are able to discover some really interesting insight into how the main characters’ actions in those plays likely affected everyone else around them.... full review

We Need Better Friends dares to ask "What if Shakespeare was Frasier?" Great show for anyone with an ounce of Bard inside of them.... full review

This was show was clearly birthed from a deep love, appreciation and understanding of Hamlet and R&J. At the same time it's accessible and enjoyable for non-shakespeare nerds! Even though I knew what was coming, I never got ahead of the show and loved watching these characters re-tell the horror stories of their days. Makes me wonder what other Shakespeare characters could have spin offs!... full review

I'm generally familiar with the two source materials that the characters were pulled from: I read one of the plays in high school, and the other one has been parodied so much that I'm familiar with the characters and storyline. It definitely helped having at least that base knowledge, but the show still was clear enough to understand the what was going on without it. Definitely recommend for Shakespeare fans and non-Shakespeare fans alike!... full review

So clever! James and Nicole bring out all the humor, heartbreak, and truth of what it is like to be "the best friend" in a Shakespearean tragedy. The depth they provide to each of their characters outside the boundaries of the original plays is beautiful and I loved every second of it.... full review
