I loved how well written this play was! Jean Franzblau is incredibly talented and has a great director! I was absolutely impressed by Jean’s channeling of each character. I felt as if I had already met her mom and Zack! Great use of sound effects and excellent skills at painting a mental picture! You are there with Jean as she goes into her sisters dorm, her neighbors apartment and the LAX area dungeon! Absolutely adored Jean’s courage and raw, unapologetic sensuality and sexuality! You go girl!
What I didn't like
It could be longer! We want more dammit! It’s too good to not have another 30 minutes or so.
My overall impression
A fantastic, must-see performance! My Mother Dosen’t Know I’m Kinky is like if a Ted Talk and real life Fifty Shades of Grey decided to do a steamy bandage scene together, mixing in with plenty of humor and heartfelt vulnerability! Jean creates a moving depiction of her journey into kink, consent and self discovery with the only cast member being her and the only prop being a single chair! Erotic, intelligent and honest! Plenty of tender moments to go along with all the flogging and body worship and what a twist ending! Get your tickets now, they are worth every penny!
