What I liked
Carly DW Bones’ spot-on direction kept Jean moving around the stage, using just one chair to assist in telling her personal realizations.
What I didn't like
It would be great to add in more humor to help the audience relax as the play seemed a bit serious and not as funny as it could have been on the night I attended.
My overall impression
It’s difficult to believe that Jean ever felt self-conscious sharing about her life and body, given how self-assured she now appears when telling her story of developing her sexual awareness and awakening sure to resonant with all audiences members. With her stories sharing humor and heartbreak, Jean’s open-armed loving nature will certainly make you want to share a hug with her after the show.
