What I liked
They had me at “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised”. I loved being taken back to the time when I used to listen to his albums on Saturday mornings.
What I didn't like
I would prefer a few more songs. The show was good, and left me wanting more.
My overall impression
A brief peek into the life of Gil Scott-Heron as a person as well as an artist/activist. An entertaining and nostalgic performance highlighting his love for his family and his people. The Godfather of Rap would have been honored, especially to hear his daughter singing soulfully and sounding like him.
