I was thoroughly pleased and in awe at the level of talent cascading across the stage at Inner City Cultural Center II's Gil Scott-Heron Bluesology! From poem to poem, poet to poet, the blue clad crew of creatives delivered powerful performances of the legendary revolutionaries’ catalog. Seeing the legends's daughter Gia on stage made the production feel like a legacy piece as outstanding originals were snugly knit into the heavy Heron fabric of powerful pros. Gil Scott-Heron Bluesology was soooo cooool! Clint “Saint Ice” Johnson... full review

My overall impression of the show was amazing. I enjoyed how the poets passionately recited & performed Gill Scott-Heron's poems. I felt like I was actually in the 70s at a Gill Scott-Heron's event. Gia Scott-Heron was featured her tribute to her father was amazing.... full review

Play Review: "Gil Scott-Heron Bluesology" at Poets Jazz House "Gil Scott-Heron Bluesology" is an outstanding play that left me and my entire team thoroughly impressed and wishing it was longer. The talent on display was remarkable, and we are eager to see it again. The cast was exceptional, with each performer bringing a unique and powerful presence to the stage. Tuesday Conner, one of the show's executive producers and a member of the ensemble cast, is one of the sweetest and most welcoming individuals I've met in a while. Her storytelling and talent are truly exceptional, and it's clear she has a gift for creating an immersive and engaging theatrical experience. Despite my tendency to get bored easily, I was fully engaged throughout... full review
