She made talking about generational trauma, motherhood, and healing, feel casual and less scary. Relatable for anyone who didn’t properly learn how to brush/do their hair until after Jr. High (me) and/or anyone who has been clinically prescribed yoga (also me). I have seen bits and pieces of Orchid’s stand-up, It was great to get to learn more of her personal story, and understand how it all ties together make her the crass yet positive person she is today.
What I didn't like
The show is very intimate and could possibly also shine in a (slightly) smaller/tighter theatre for that reason.
My overall impression
In this hour of stand-up, Orchid walks us through her unique upbringing as she holds space for her younger self and pokes fun at current herself. A self aware exploration of judging books by their covers.
