What I liked

Firstly, Hero is an absolute show stealer. Impeccable comedic timing and sensibilities. The whole cast
gets ample moments to flex some comedic muscle – the pacing was great. The supporting cast/story lines were the surprise highlights for me. The relationship between himbo Claudio and the gregarious Prince was an unexpected delight. Leonato & Antonio played excited to exasperated very well. Don Jon’s evil Vegas Elvis & Baraccio’s scheming doofus gave us a glimpse at if Danny McBride produced Pinky & The Brain. Costumes were great, and the use of set & space was economic and effective especially in the scenes where the leads are “hiding” in the garden. I loved it.

What I didn't like

Admittedly, I’ve not seen this work before but I felt the songs interspersed throughout didn’t add much context and were perhaps a little too lengthy (I get that it’s drag themed tho, and Margaret is v cute in them so that might be why they felt it important to include a song and dance number like 5 times)

My overall impression

A fun gander for silly geese
