Shakespeare knew Drag, too, but not THIS Drag: 9f/3m doing mainly opposite sexes, some successfully. Unifying Staging = MIA, from Shrieking (and unlikable) “Beatrice” to “Messenger” who couldn’t be heard in the Front Row! Would Old Will have liked Lypsinka-clone gyrating thru audience syncing “Over the Rainbow” as the show starts, plus other modern musical interpolations? I wonder. Shakespearean text = hard enough to follow without wobbly guidance to hinder it.
What I didn't like
Preceding Show started 1/2-hour late (500, not 430) so THIS show started 1/2-hour late (700, not 630)—-and turned out to be 85-minutes long with curtain calls, NOT 70-minutes long, as advertised! !!! Following show started ONEHOUR late! Scrambling the schedule used to be a Cardinal NO-NO for ALL Fringe participants! Is Fringe Central paying attention this year???
