What I liked

The comedy was great, and I could resonate with all the ways Sam expressed her vulnerability on stage through her story. The laugh-out-loud moments were high-energy and pure entertainment, but the quieter and more serious scenes were the ones I found the most endearing and memorable. I kept smiling the whole way through.

What I didn't like

The pre-records (and musical score) were perfectly executed, I would have loved to hear more live music and have more pianist interaction.

My overall impression

SAM! was an exceptionally entertaining show and really thought provoking for artists and non-artists alike. This felt like a uniquely special and personal take on “making it” and the writing and performing were equally superb.
