This show was funny!! The commitment was fantastic and made a lot of the jokes land where a lesser-skilled comedic actor would have let them fall flat. There’s a heart underneath that made the revelation at the end genuinely moving.
I don’t know Sam personally, but I’m glad this show was made. It was inspiring to see someone else essentially say, “this business sucks I’m going to do my own thing for the love of it” and do it! As a fellow person in the film industry who’s been considering leaving for a while (because it also makes me feel awful) this show hit home for me. So, thanks for the motivation, Sam—maybe I can do my own thing and find my way back to loving my art, too. :)
What I didn't like
A few of the audition bits and audiobook spots were verging on slightly repetitive, but they were still funny—they might be tightened up. I’d also add like one more musical parody, because they were great.
