What I liked

the Hamilton parody and her energy overall. She commits. Hard. There’s a few REALLY funny and clever jokes through out.

What I didn't like

It’s a little too ‘much’ at times. (I feel like one of her jerk casting directors), but the quirky thing was cute and funny in the first 10 minutes but felt a little like beating a dead horse half-way through. And while that’s the point of her character and why she’s struggling and part of the reason why she’s somewhat relatable – i think the writing relied too heavily on that tick. I also understand that we’re supposed to write what we know – so it’s expected that we’d see 100 solo shows about the topic of ‘finding yourself through your struggling acting career’- I’m a little over it. I will say that SAM is one of the better ones of these at least. Didn’t feel like there was really need for a pianist when most of the songs were backing tracks.

My overall impression

Sam is QUIRKY, fun and pretty relatable.
