You don’t have to be an actor to understand or relate to Sam Labrecque’s hilarious and emotionally affective original one-woman show. In less than an hour, SAM presents indignities, triumphs, dashed hopes, and dreams realized that take a wide-eye and innocent wannabe to a determined and focused artist. Life’s harsh realities are no fun, but Samantha Labrecque somehow makes them hilarious and heartfelt.
What I didn't like
Songs, live music, improv, and an impressive sound design all contribute to a fantastic Fringe experience.
My overall impression
This laugh-out-loud micro personal journey of an actor’s struggle in Hollywood is a macro examination of all our hopes and dreams.
