What I liked
The representation of the audition process was spot on and very relatable. Also, watching Sam demonstrate trying all different performance platforms was very funny and real.
What I didn't like
There were portions of the show that took place at the back of the stage with Sam sitting and it was hard to see her. I understand the reason for that choice, but I wanted to be able to more easily see her.
My overall impression
We had the chance to catch this evening’s performance of SAM and it was just great! Wonderful insights into the challenges of being an actor and finding the self in the constant struggle for work. Sam shows off a multitude of skills in her writing and delivery, including her excellent movement talents and beautiful singing voice. Kudos to her for this great work. Every struggling actor should see this show!
