What I liked
Sam is a delight to watch. She’s simultaneously self mocking and overwhelmingly powerful. Plus she sings like a bell. (Belle from that Disney movie, specifically) and dances without fear. This is a woman who knows her gifts and how to use them to create a compelling experience for her audience.
What I didn't like
It was a preview. There was some tech stuff. They’ll work it out.
My overall impression
A musical theatre nerd from the Val heads south to Hollywood in pursuit of all the things, slams hard into reality, and makes it into funny and relatable art.
