Everything mentioned above, in addition to the strong performances of the whole cast, tight story, and the set/costume design, which well communicated the characters and their world.
What I didn't like
The tough thing about this kind of format from a viewer perspective is that not all of your choices will be what the majority of the audience wants, thus you’ll have to come back to see the scenes you want and, even then, it isn’t guaranteed. Luckily, I got everything I would have chosen on my first go. And doubly, every ticket bought supports quality theater, so I’d definitely go back to see things go differently.
My overall impression
A very solid piece with a fun, unique characteristic of viewer choice. I had no idea what to expect from a Tarantino style choose-your-own-adventure, but it was an absolute blast. I never saw something attempt that live, and it exceeded pretty high expectations, as I’ve enjoyed the director’s works before.
The character of Sonny was particularly entertaining. The actor really did a lot to display the humor and sleaziness of a Tarantino character while still being likeable and sympathetic, even in the character’s darkest moments.
