I’m one of the lucky ones to have seen this show a few times in its earlier iteration, seven years ago, and while the story is essentially the same and some things changed (Postmates became Grubhub) I was still genuinely surprised by the outcome each choice would bring! At some point throughout the play, I found myself scared for each of the characters – a testament to the writing and performances – as each character is likable and hatable at some point, but nuanced with just the right amount of depth, to ultimately pull at our empathetic heart strings.
What I didn't like
I got scared for Moose/Greg when he slammed the plastic cup down and cracked it. I thought he may have hurt himself and that took me out a bit, though I know he was in the moment. Be safe, Greg!
My overall impression
A non-stop, rip-roaring, fun time with a strong cast that makes the great writing even better.
