The writing was sharp, with a host of laugh-out loud lines (it reminded me a bit of American Buffalo in the way that it turns out to be much funnier seeing it in person than you might expect). The cast was appealing (and handled the choose-your-own elements deftly), with a particularly scenery-chewing performance from Courtney Sara Bell as Julia.
What I didn't like
While I don’t want to give away too much to future audience members, I think the last few minutes—a sort of postscript, as it were—could be tightened just a little. It’s necessary for the overall arc, but a little surgical shaving would be killer. Pun intended.
My overall impression
This was an entertaining (and often unexpectedly funny) 50-minute thrill ride with just the right sprinkling of audience interactivity. All in all, I had a great time, and I was engaged from start to finish.
