Courtney Sara Bell, the actress who played Julia, was very funny, and seemed to be having a good time. Sean Faye as Mason was also a comforting presence to have guiding us through the show.
What I didn't like
The show has three scenes that feel like they’re the last scene, which was confusing for me. I also don’t think the heavy dialect work is necessary for any of the characters, but especially Denise. The characters are, understandably, angry often, and the actors often yell to show that, rather than expressing anger in other ways.
My overall impression
The concept is more fun than the execution, if you’ll excuse the pun. The cast’s accent and acting choices are too big for the show’s small space, and none of the choices the audience makes seem to have that much of an impact on the plot; rather than a tree, branching out from each decision the audience makes, the story feels more like a straight line, with a few momentary detours along the way.
