What I liked
There were choices that took my breath away; the team clearly knew how to balance the story. I loved that not every song needed accompaniment, not every section needed jokes, and the ones that did got them with charm and seasoned stagecraft and musicianship.
What I didn't like
Such a wonderful homage to an under-known master.
My overall impression
I loved it!! A perfect marriage of performer and subject matter. I loved learning Connie’s story and the innovative ways Hope brought historic and personal narrative into a fast-paced show filled with phenomenal music.
