Charley is so deeply present, grounded and thoughtful throughout every moment of the show. He’s meticulous and precise and you can tell he’s done this show a million times in that he seems to savor every millisecond of stage time. The proper jokes, the surprising poetry, the trip and fall down an existential rabbit hole and every real time discovery he makes along the way… the man’s craft is excellent.
What I didn't like
His voice could fill a theater a hundred times the size of the broadwater studio and for that I salute him however the sound is a bit overwhelming for such an intimate space. But this show deserves a much bigger audience anyway.
My overall impression
I can see why this show has taken this man around the world. It’s an excellent show concept executed impeccably by a performer who could wrap an audience around his finger with a hand tied behind his back. The hour zipped by and I didn’t want it to end. Bravo.
