Clowns with Swords is a much meatier enterprise than most. No simple jesters allowed. Belly laughs will be scarce. Expect instead to be sufficiently captivated and sometimes appalled but ultimately entertained by this piece. Taming of the Shrew has and is ever a problematic play to justify in the modern world with feminism and the independence of women. But add in a little bit of bondage and domination and oddly enough it all starts to make sense. Highly Recommended. “Getting To Know You” is a World Premiere Hollywood Fringe Festival event that takes you off the beaten path to get up-close and personal with strangers.
