Bus People is a wonderful piece of theatre; funny, honest, educational and beautifully written and performed by Tamra Brown. As someone that didn't own a car in Los Angeles from 2009 to 2014 this play spoke to me on so many levels, chief of which is the fact that taking public transportation in Los Angeles gives us so much more than a way to get from point A to point B. To say that Karen Macarah is a triple threat is an understatement. Her amazing voice, so crystal clear and vibrant, was a thing to behold in the sold out audience. The subject matter of her cabaret was also very universal for anyone that has ever felt less than, or out of place either on stage, or off. Karen is a gifted writer, singer and performer.
