Saving Cain

SAVING CAIN is a well written production with a quite unusual ending. I am a secular humanist and I almost walked away after 15 minutes watching the show because I can't stand religious zealots but I'm glad I stayed. The ending with the son reminded me of the movie TASTE OF CHERRY by Abbas Kiarostami. Thank you all for a fun 1 1/2 hours in the theater! ... full review

Romeo and Juliet: An ASL Love Story

I've seen a few ASL theater production in the past and it is quite a different experience to watch ASL for hearing people. Your brain kind of splits because you are watching and hearing a language and at the same time you are also watching the production, not just the sign language. This production started out a bit confusing to me because of my brain splitting in half, trying to read and hear the two languages at the same time as well as figuring out who is who (deaf actors had their speaking... full review

So glad I saw this production! The actors were first rate, the writing was solid and the direction was just about perfect! I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the show from beginning to end. The play reminded me a bit of Black Swan but with a better ending though the last hug-less hug was painful to watch. The only flaw in this production was the sound of sweeping up in the back. Please loose that track as it came out of nowhere and it was distracting from the play. See this show while you ... full review

Fantastic for ages 0-100 and beyond! Playtime of my 2 1/2 year old was inspired after this performance. My son was rolling his ping-pong ball with the paddle over his body. He tried to roll a little car onto his hands and over his arms. He wanted to play music with a broken balloon. These are just a few examples of his playtime a day after the show, which is not just amazing but I believe that any good kids show should provide this kind of positive, thoughtful, and playful inspiration to all it's... full review

This show from the The Visceral Company was one of my favorites at the Hollywood Fringe Festival so far, next to Chtlin' Blues! The actors were excellent, so was light design, set changes, the creative set design, costume, and everything else. This show is a MUST SEE! You will walk our smiling and singing "American Way!" :-)... full review

Fantastic show for kids 2+! The pacing was just right for all the kids in the audience to be kept captivated. The wardrobe was colorful and the musicians and the actors were wonderful together! My 2 1/2 year old was mesmerized and his favorite character was The Dwarf (Trevor), whom he shook hands with after the show. Everyone in the audience had a fun hour! If you have kids, definitely go and see this show! You all will have a great time!... full review
