Girl Band in the Men's Room

This story brought me back to high school, back when the cool kids wore flannel and had Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Nirvana blasting from their CD players. A very human story about the fear of fame, the struggle to preserve one's integrity, both artistic and personal, even when offered the opportunity to make your wildest dreams come true, and brought to life by four strong performances, "Girl Band In The Men's Room" is definitely something worth seeing. Go for the memories. Go for the st... full review

Matt & Ben

Maggie Henry and Jessica Blair ARE Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in this fantastic parody about the "true origin" behind the smash hit "Good Will Hunting." Henry personifies Affleck as an alpha male, and does it so naturally you'd think that she's been pounding brewskies, belching the alphabet and scratching her neither regions since birth. Blair channels Damon with such an uptight sincerity as the straight man in this new age odd couple that, to quote Ferris Bueller, "if you stuck a lump of coal up... full review

Spring Awakening

SPRING AWAKENING is a very timely piece to produce as the US is caught up in a growing wave of neo-conservatism. Brimming with themes just as relevant in today's repressed society as it was in 1906 Germany, I can see why it was considered scandalous. Lonesome No More does an outstanding job in bringing this piece to life with a vibrant, youthful energy and passion. Daring and edgy, the cast takes you on a ride as you witness the painful loss of innocence, made all the more tragic because of the o... full review

"The Smothers Brothers on Crystal Meth" certainly live up to their reputation! I saw their show tonight and can safely say that they are a perfect storm of hilarity. Happy Birthday, Mom

It's beautiful when you can find truth in even the most absurd situation. With shrewd storytelling and larger-than-life characters, "Happy Birthday, Mom" is not only a hilarious comedy about an incredibly awkward situation, but a very human portrayal of dysfunctional family dynamics. It's also a disturbing reminder to the twenty- and thirty-somethings of the world that their parents are people too... and they (still) have needs... ::shudder:: Two thumbs up to a top-notch cast than nails the co... full review

MESS

A very enjoyable experience! Kirsten bares her soul with diary entries, old pictures, poems and the contents of her car. Her storytelling is bravely vulnerable, beautifully honest and without pretension. She throws back the covers to share her Mess with us, and in doing so helps us appreciate the mess we've got hidden in our own lives. It doesn't matter who you are; you will be able to relate to this. ... full review

Pros: - Wisehart's script is full of beautiful poetry overflowing with striking imagery and clever witticisms. He accomplished daunting task of writing an entire play in ottava rima with skill and proficiency. - The story is brimming with passion, action, adventure and suspense. History buffs will marvel at the faithfulness to the true events the story is based on. Conspiracy buffs will enjoy the chess match of the plot's intrigue.
