Left Turns

This show was amazingly honest, raw, & heartbreaking but never for a moment did Laura Grimaldi come across like a victim. In fact she has the most incredible strength! This woman has been thru so much in her short life but if has only enhanced her convictions. She now knows that she doesn’t need a man to be happy. She can live life on her own terms and enjoy her children and pursue her dreams! ... full review

Mime Time with James Direct Presents: GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD!

James Royce has the energy of a man in his 20s. How does he do that? His facial expressions are delightfully charming. The show makes you feel like you are 10 years old at Mime School. I had a smile on my face during the whole show. This show goes very quickly and takes you to another world where there is nothing to do but be. ... full review

The Importance of Being Oscar

kelly mullis · June 16, 2018 certified reviewer
I really liked this Fringe show. I wish it had been longer and with a more elaborate set. They only touch on the fascinating story of the great Oscar Wilde. This show could certainly be extended into a 90 minute biography of the flamboyant gentleman who was Oscar. I felt like I was teased and then let go too soon. All of the writing was top notch and the acting was fabulous as well. All involved should be very proud!! I just wanted MORE, MORE, MORE!!! This is one of those shows that could be put ... full review

Amazing characterization by a super committed actor. It was surreal and humorous. I loved Joshua's strong voice and his absurd view of everything. It's obvious that he is a skilled and experienced actor. It would be incredible to see him do Shakespeare. ... full review

A Mile In My Shoes

I was greatly moved by the message in this beautifully written and executed solo show. I loved the central character, the funny, witty, and positive homeless woman who is a friend to all she comes in contact with. Her attitude is amazing even though she's on the streets. When I left the play, my eyes were even more open to the large number of homeless people we have in our city of LA. Kathryn's play definitely educates us about this serious issue! ... full review

I absolute loved ever moment of this show! Rob Bruner is adorable. He’s got this world weary way about him and while you’re hearing his story, your heart just goes out to him. I swear I fell in love with him during this show. He’s super endearing! Jessica Lynn Johnson is a heck a director!! You go girl!!! ... full review

Bad Sponsor

kelly mullis · June 03, 2018 certified reviewer
I had no idea what to expect from this show but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was super cool that it was presented like a Hollywood Script. This show which is at the Hobgoblin Theatre in the heart of Hollywood is the perfect setting for this kind of story. It’s a truly “Hollywood-esque” story about dispicable characters living in LA and doing their thing, Just trying to survive in a superficial world. ... full review

I loved every bit of this fabulous show. The songs, the wonderful singing, the dancing, the costumes, the choreography of so many characters, the storyline! It was all fantastic. The writer and director, Allie Miller, is a sheer brilliant genius to come up with such a fun filled visual masterpiece. I smiled the whole time. ... full review
