I've known Mary as a comic but I feel like I REALLY KNOW and LOVE her NOW - after seeing her one woman show. The way she acted out all the internal feelings she was plagued with as a teenager was magical. Mary brought all the parts of her ALIVE ON STAGE! It was funny and heartfelt and I was glad to learn about her life....

The acting was awesome. The character was complicated and layered. I didn't agree with her but I found myself sympathetic to her plight like I found myself when I watched Kate Winslet in "The Reader".
The music and the character of the musician offered an interesting counterpoint - both with pros and cons - even though her part was small it was very impactful....
