This play was meant for Aaron Lyons! He gives incredible life and depth to the Shel Silverstein poem. Complete with a live band and a dancer, Aaron takes you on the journey to hell and back with Billy Markham. He effortlessly switches between characters and truly embodies each one. Make sure to catch a performance of this one. You won't be disappointed!...

#Hashtag is the perfect Fringe show, created in part by the cast for the Fringe it truly embodies the spirit of taking chances, developing new work and trying it out. Combine that with an entertaining premise and you have an entertaining hour of theater. I'd love to see them continue development on this piece. I think the story lines could be expanded and the concept of using social media during the show could be increased. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with this work and bring to th...

Viola Mountain Door Company is one of HFF13's hidden gems. Greg Abbot effortlessly weaves a story involving multiple characters. My fear with these type of shows is that storytellers are not often able to make the audience truly embrace each different character. Abbot takes on different physical characters as well as speech mannerisms, making it very easy to believe he is those characters and not just someone acting like those characters. A very sweet one hour production that is beautifully writt...

This is truly a gem of the 2013 festival. Rodeo Town is one of those plays that stays with you after you leave the theater. This cast works together as a beautiful ensemble to take the audience on a ride full of unexpected dark turns. Eric Cire gives an incredible performance as Garth and is the driving force that keeps the story moving. Riveting and thought provoking this is definitely a show worth catching this year!...

This show does an excellent job of balancing dark issues with a bit of comedy. The cast is spot on in their moments of lightheartedness. Led by powerhouse lead Bethy Poluikis this cast plays their roles as members of an estranged family with such believability that you can see elements of all families in them. The set changes and tech elements still need a bit of work and they could easily shave 5-6 minutes from the show by simplifying set changes. While this is a compelling idea for a play, the ...

The cast clearly was having a good time with this. While this type of free association writing script is not something that I necessarily enjoy it was entertaining and the sound effects and multiple characters played by the 5 member cast were fantastic. I felt that the script was a mash up of 2 incomplete scripts. I would have liked to see it stick to one plot line. Their strength as an ensemble and company is definitely in radio plays. I'm looking forward to seeing what else they do in the futur...
