I loved this show, I thought it was such an innovative and complex deep dive into the psychology of the late-night talk show world. Jared is an absolutely brilliant performer, he's immensely passionate, and his physical comedy is exceptional. I appreciate the innovative take on the solo show style. I appreciate the inner psychology that we got from all of the characters, and I feel like I was able to get close to all of them. The actors had excellent chemistry with each other and clearly were having a wonderful time on stage, creating an enjoyable theatrical experience from start to finish. I really dug this play. I thought that the extremely innovative and clever use of horror to heighten and viscerally explore pressing themes and systemic issues in the queer community was a brilliant choice. There are some twists in the play that truly shocked me and absolutely engaged the hell out of me. A lovely comedic play that has true heart, you could tell that the actors absolutely adored performing in this play, and you can't help but smile at seeing the sincere joy on their faces. Katelyn’s absolute commitment to this show is to be incredibly admired and respected in my opinion. I loved the theatricality of the piece, and I found it very engaging how Katelyn was able to use the overall extremity of the subject matter through lighting and intense acting choices. I loved the fast-paced nature of this play, and I found the subject matter to be intriguing and unique. I feel that the social politics of the play was engaging, and I sincerely appreciated how all of the characters were very distinct, and brought their unique identity-based perspectives to the sexual politics on display throughout the play. The thought that kept running through my head as I was watching the show was how appreciative I was for Brenda’s completely raw approach to acting. It made the play far more compelling because she was truly just speaking right from her heart as opposed to giving an overly polished, overly rehearsed description of her mental health challenges. I sincerely appreciate this play tackling a very sensitive and challenging subject, and highlighting the vulnerable experiences of veterans who feel deeply displaced both physically and internally with adjusting to civilian life.
